Learn Something New!

We recently found an awesome website, MentorMob.

They organize educational articles and videos into clear courses for online learning.

You can learn about all kinds of things—

from coding with Ruby on Rails  (we are an IT company)

to breakdancing (we had to step away from our desk for this one)

to cannibalism (one last Halloween gag before we start on Thanksgiving)

Instead of fruitlessly mining the web for pointers on your current hobby, check out MentorMob.

Make Your Google Searches More Efficient

Use these lesser-known search tips to avoid sorting through unwanted search results!

– Search for a term exclusively within a specific site with a colon. (lion:sfzoo.org)

– Exclude a word by a placing a minus sign immediately before it. (Searching for “lion”, but don’t want to see apple products? Search: lion -apple)

– Use an asterisk as a placeholder for an unknown word. (lions eat * in the zoo)

– Put a phrase in quotes to search for that exact phrase. (lions and lion tamers unite)

Likes his smallish company and human relationships; not into big anonymous IT. Loves to tell jokes. Loves and Hates technology; pick up the phone, ok? Thinks on line hook up sites have saved the world from AIDS and DateRape. Thinks his kids are better collaborators and world leaders thanks to video games. Is still a hip-hop dancer; is NOT a Brony. Loves San Francisco; Hates the homeless crisis. Tells young people to buy real estate, as soon as possible. Don’t rent. Hopes his final years are spent handing out blankets, food, clothes, and medical supplies.
