Solutions to the issue:
this requires changes in the registry. Make sure to do a backup before making any changes.
Start Regedit and got o the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\ProofingTools\1.0\Override\en-US
You should find 2 entries (DLL and LEX) pointing to non-existing files.
Rename these to oldDLL and oldLEX.
close the registry and restart outlook
