Issue: On some Ricoh multi-function printers, you may get an error when trying to make configuration changes via the web console that says “The device is currently in use by other functions”.

Affects: Some Ricoh multi-function printers

Solution/Process: This is due to the fact that the printer is busy, most likely with a print job. Unfortunately, the only way around it is to keep hitting “Save” or “OK” to make the changes.  Eventually they will set, once there are no print jobs left. For a printer that is used frequently this becomes more of an issue. Even though a print job only takes about 10 seconds, if there are multiple jobs backing up in the queue, it can take some time to process the configuration changes.
